No presents from the besotted beady eyed marsupial which makes this a grand start to the daymrgreen

Today is the Feast Day of St George of Antioch, who did not carry the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.

Oddspot-
"Hangin' no bloody good for blackfeller. Only good for whitefeller" was what Aboriginal convict Musquito stated after his death sentence was handed down in Tassie, in 1824.
When a gaoler asked him why, Musquito answered,
"Whitefeller is used to it".

1856 Stoke up your boiler, Aunty Maud, the first steam railway from Adelaide to Port Adelaide started chuffing along.

Ghost spot-
At Fletcher Bay, New Zealand, several witnesses have sighted a dark figure walking along the pebbled beach at night, but it makes no sound and just vanishes without a trace.

1968 The memorial to the Desert Mounted Corps, on Anzac Parade, was dedicated by PM John Gorton and is a replica of the memorial unveiled in Port Said, Egypt in 1932 by PM Billy Hughes.

Great Aunt Hepzibah's Handy Hints-
When making clothes by hand for children, try to make them reversible to stop them wearing on one side.

1974 The New Art Cinema, in Glebe, NSW debuted The Rocky Horror Picture Show in all it's Reg Livermore- gartered glory.

Miss Ed Ma Kate Shun's Elucidations-
One of the easiest ways to study another country's culture is to cook the national or most favoured dishes with the same ingredients.

1984 Advance Australia Fair was declared our national anthem with green and gold, even though they clash with my accessories, as our national sporting colours.

Grandma Mehitabel's Menu-
In a meat mincer/ grinder, grind up steak, capsicum, cabbage, onion, carrots, garlic and parsnip.
Saute in a pan with 2 tins of tomatoes/ 8 large fresh tomatoes cut up and 1 teaspoon of olive oil.
Boil pasta of choice, drain and mix with meat sauce, heat through then serve with hot crusty bread rolls.
