May 12 Flo Nightingale was pupped and stuff happened

It's International Nurses Day in the International Year of The Nurse!
So, if a nurse crosses your path today give her a big smile and say 'thanks'.
Then cross her palm with a bajillion pieces of silver to make her giggle with glee!

1975 Kiwi soapie "Close to Home" began airing on NZ TV.
1975 Aussie band Sherbet were number 1 in the charts for 2 weeks with Summer Loving.
1975 The Family Law Reform Bill was brought in in Ontario which established that both partners were equal in a marriage.

Anything outrageous is usually sarcasm and/or humour.

  1. "a bajillion pieces of silver"?
    If only.....

I most certainly do appreciate nurses, we've all had excellent care whenever any of us has had to stay in a hospital.
    Nurses everywhere, take a bow.

  2. Never quite sure why someone who looks after you and your health gets less money than someone who pushes money around, or even fixes your tap for that matter.
