May two rinse and repeat with photographic evidence

1793 Mary Bryant, escaped convict, was granted an unconditional pardon back in Ye Olde Dart after James Boswell, bless his little cotton socks, spoke up on her behalf.

Let's toast her good luck....
From memory (and extra dodgy eyesight) this is the pub formerly known as The Star and Garter Hotel in South Melbourne.

1964 The very last, final ever, no-we-really-mean-it-this-time electric tram rattled along the tracks in NZ.

This is a tram at a tram stop not in NZ but in Melbourne, taken by Feral Beast.
Cos we're in Melbourne and NZ is over the ditch thataway------------->>>>
And there's no electric trams left in NZ to photograph.

1991 The Supreme Court in Ontario tossed out the law that allowed a person, found not guilty by reason of insanity, to be detained in an institution indefinitely.

Which would mean that this suspicious trio would remain at large in Canada.
If they weren't already roaming about the Aussie countryside.
Loitering in botanic gardens and seeking out wild ducks.

Yellow = New Zealand
Orange  = Canada
Green = Australian
Red = UK or other nationality

Anything outrageous is usually sarcasm and/or humour.

  1. Funny, the arrow pointing to NZ is the right direction on my screen. You are clever.

  2. "Let's toast her good luck...."

    Any excuse to fill a glass...

  3. "And there's no electric trams left in NZ to photograph."

    Oh, really?

  4. Mary Bryant. Is she the one who escaped from Port Something-or-other in NSW and lived for about three years with the aboriginals in QLD? There was a book written about her, fiction based on fact if I remember rightly, and later a movie.

  6. As Timespanner indicated, of course Christchurch and in at least two operational museums. Bring 'em back.

  7. Was just going to say we have these trams here in CHCH.

    And over Easter we took our little 3 year old friend here; and he loved the ride on the tram....was a funny few hours.

    Much to his parents amusement he is still talking about his tram ride

  8. Well, bless your little cotton socks, I will have a snort. I mean, I will toast her good luck. *grunt* Give me the darn bottle, Jayne! You're the one that suggested it. Give it up already. *tussling sounds* What the heck! It's EMPTY?!!!

  9. Yes, my compass is working, Andrew yippee!

    Sorry, Lisa and Janine, was multitasking and not double-checking. Besides, do you mean to say Wellington doesn't represent the whole of NZ?! :P

    NO, River, Mary did a bunk with her hubby, children and other convicts, got caught, sent back to Uk, eventually pardoned and disappeared off the face of the earth.

    Chin chin, Brian :P

    I'se jusht *hic* opening a new *hic* boshle, Debby *hic* ;)
