June 25 with added Duct Tape

Have accidentally painted the top of the laptop in gold and silver glitter, much to the disgust of the Feral offspring.
Twas an accident after having made pirate buckles from duct tape (yes, you can make anything out of duct tape) so I decided to finish the whole thing off.
The glitter on the laptop, not the pirate buckles...although they are most definitely finished off, in various shades of glitter.

1912 The section of railway line from Eltham to Hurstbridge was opened.
Read the description of the semi-rural Hurstbridge line and make a date in your diary to travel there by train on the 100th anniversary of rail travel for the Wattle Festival this year!

1857 was a miserable date for the crew on the ship Koenig Willem II as, after discharging 397 Chinese passengers in Robe, South OZ, on this day the ship had a nasty mishap and became wrecked, resulting in 16 deaths.
These sailors were buried in the nearby sandhills.

1857 Yet on the same day over the border in Victoria the Greenwish (aka Newport) to Geelong Railway line was opened by the then operators the Geelong & Melbourne Railway Company.

One wonders if one's employees, the Victorian State Government, are possibly reading this and gaining inspiration to invest much needed funds to create or, even, reopen much demanded railway stations...?
No, sadly I haven't seen pigs flying backwards on Tuesdays to China.

I wonder if one could manufacture a new railway line from duct tape...?

One would hope the new rail line would be glittery.

oh, and that the lines don't 'buckle'

Duct tape is all that's holding the rail system together as it is.
Checkout the movie Nanny Mc Phee and the Big Bang and you'll see pigs doing amazing things :-).

Oh, indeed, it would definitely be glittery, FC!
I think we could make that legislation or a union rule that all new lines (made of steel or duct tape) must be glittery!

LMAO Windsmoke, I have seen that film and, yes, piggy-wiggy-woos can flit merrily about ;)

You've probably now got a keyboard that might set fashion trends, Jayne.

Ah if only the government was investing in rail. I wish they'd lay (or repair) 10km of track for every piece of bitumen they lay down (or repair)....

How does one accidentally paint a laptop? Did you use it as a table surface for the buckles? Tsk Tsk. although a shiny, sparkly laptop could make you the envy of many who like shiny, sparkly things. You might start a trend.

It's the lid of the laptop, Kath, that glitters now lol.
Aye, if they equalled the investment in rail infrastructure I'd happily shout their name from the chimney tops...maybe.

I did indeed use it as a tabletop for the buckles, River, didn't think I'd gone over the paper I laid down but obviously I did.
And despite being waterbased it was a bugger to scratch off so I painted the rest of the lid ;)
