Brilliant idea. I hope it is very, very crowded.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the line from Geelong to Ballarat is still there and used by freight trains. It is surely broad gauge. So easy to run a couple of trains a day and see what the demand is. I've looked at the Maryborough to Melbourne service timetable in the past and I cannot work it out. I am not inexperienced at train timetables, so I would say that is a fail VLine.
So do we, EC!Oh, god, Andrew, the Maryborough-Melbourne timetable is a fraking nightmare :( More often they run the bus to Ballarat then a train to Maryborough.Indeed, you'd think that it would be a simple thing to recommence passenger trains on existing tracks but someone, somewhere has to make it difficult.
