Lucky dip bag

Has it been raining in your neck of the woods recently?
Have you seen dire warnings in the media that drought is stalking our land once more?!
Scary crap, this weather nonsense.
Next thing you know some smarty-pants will point out those nasty pollutants spiralling up into the air might change weather patterns or something.
Of course, hard-headed know-it-alls won't listen to that nonsense...*rolls eyes*

Nice to see there's been some practical input and investment into cycle paths being upgraded due to the acknowledgment of the increase in cycle path useage.
Careful there, folks, commonsense is prevailing!
And you know what happens next....
The sky will fall in!!!

And after the sky has fallen in, tap your neighbour/work collegue/friend/cousin/aunt/sister/father/grandmother/whoever on the should and ask,
"R  U OK?"
September 15 is R U OK day.
Seriously, it takes less than a second of your time to help someone break through the wall they may feel trapped behind.
One little question may help enormously.

  1. I have a dream... a dream of a network of bicycle tracks like we have freeways. A world where bicyclists can safety travel the city, reducing pollution, increasing health and not taking the terrifying risk, that comes from riding anywhere near those great metal beasts.

  2. Yeah, and, really mean ir when you ask R U OK... or... How are you? Not just ask it as the cashier attendants at Woolies do in a "I do not give a toss way". You are right Ro, it does not take much to ask. xoxo

  3. I'm not going to be feeling ok on that day so get in first and send huge box of chocolates, one dozen doughnuts and Hugh Jackman. That should see me right.

  4. I'll send RUOK messages to my distant Christmas card relatives.

  5. I plan on asking a couple of people RUOK on that day, just like I ask them every week. Hopefully one will still be taking her medications, she's bipolar, the other will likely be drunk but if he's able to say to me, yes I'm OK, without anger, for him that will be good enough.
It has been raining here off and on since 11pm last night.

  6. RUOK? Hm. It is R-O-C-K in the USA...

  7. HHHMMMmmm... we live in the driest conyinent on earth - doesn't take a rocket scientist to predict that drought will stalk our land again!
