Farmers. You can't live without them.

Yes, I've been quiet of late, sorry about that but I'll pull my proverbial digit out of my proverbial *ahem* and get on with it.

Saw this and wanted to share.

  1. Farmers are the backbone of any country, always have been and always will be.

  2. Incredibly hard work. And I am so thankful for it, while acknowledging that if I was responsible there would be a lot of very thin people out there. Very, very thin.
So, a big thank you to all the farmers.

  3. We'd be no-where without farmers, that's for sure. And you know what bothers me? Cities keep expanding and valuable arable soil is being lost under mountains and miles of bricks and concrete. Why not build satellite cities with freeways to the main business district and keep the farmlands surrounding the city and satellites? Pretty soon all that's left will be the red centre and not much grows there.
